Final assignment for term 1 of the Foundations of VFX Diploma at CG Spectrum. Modelled a high and low poly version of a stylized robot concept provided by CG Spectrum. Proceeded to attempt rigging on my own.
To prepare the model for texturing, we dived into UV theory, learning about Maya's UV editor tools and common practices.
Used Arnold for lightning and rendering.
UDIM UV Maps for the main body, arms, engine and various parts.
My first time using Substance Painter. Texture maps (albedo, metalness, normal, roughness) scaled down from 2048 to show in a single image.
Textures plugged into Maya.
